Animex Foods, a producer of ham Krakus, releases many years of employees of the Agryf plant in Szczecin and employs cheaper from Asia and Ukraine through employment agencies – reports “Gazeta Wyborcza”. On Wednesday, trade unionists and employees organized a protest, demanding the restoration of dismissed and changing employment policy.

As “GW” reports, on Wednesday, on May 7, trade unionists and employees gathered at the Szczecin headquarters of Agrf to protest against the dismissal of 24 long -term employees. The gathered emphasized that the experienced crew “is the company's largest treasure”.

– Jurek worked 42 years in AGRYF. Grzesiu survived his dismissal so that his health got off, he was treated. He cannot accept what meets him after several dozen years of work – said Dariusz Głogowski, chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność” at the AGRYF plant.

The newspaper explained that “trade unionists from AGRYF are demanding the restoration of dismissed employees and withdrawing by animex from employing agency employees.”

– I work at the company 18 years. I am afraid that in my department full -time employees may also be replaced by agency – said Alicja, cited by “GW”.

– We have nothing against employees from Asia or Z Ukrainebut let them be employed full -time, not cheaper by agencies. These people work after 12-14 hours, it is not safe – said Dariusz Głogowski from NSZZ “Solidarność”.

Szczecin AGRYF employs 900 people full -time. Agency employees, however, constitute about 100 people.

“GW” emphasized that two years ago the plant's full -time crew had 1,200 people. “There were layoffs because the slaughterhouse was liquidated. 24 people who now got notice were a team of the hazy punching department” – explained.

– Agryf has no losses for last year, there is also no releases this year – argued Głogowski.

The “was not profitable” section

Łukasz Dominiak, Director of Public and Government Relations, representing AGRYF FOODS, during a meeting with journalists explained that “the ham of the ham was not profitable, hence the restructuring activities.”

– We are in dialogue with our employees. Our goal is to maintain the profitability and employment of the entire plant in Szczecin. Our goal is to protect jobs, and at the same time adapt the plant to market requirements – he said, asked if there would be further exemptions. He noted that employing external employees is known and used not only in the meat industry.

AGRYF is one of the 13 plants from Animex Foods, famous for its sausages Krakus, Berlinek or Morlin. The Krakus ham is produced in Szczecin – in slices, cans and dry Krakow sausage.
