The last presidential debate. Expert with “flavors”
Adam Traczyk assessed on TVN24 that there is no unambiguous winner after Monday's debate. He paid attention to “small flavors”, such as the dispute between Magdalena Biejat, the left candidate, and Adrian Zandberg (together).
– It was an interesting discussion, because she actually touched the heart of the dispute on the left, also a personal dispute between these two politicians – commented the guest. “It was certainly interesting from the voter's point of view, who is also looking for a place for himself on this left side,” he added.
The political scientist stated that in the debate there was no moment that could change the campaign. In his opinion, the candidates spoke mainly to the already convinced voters and none of them will gain, but also will not lose their support.
– Sławomir Mentzen, Adrian Zandberg, Magdalena Biejat and Szymon Hołownia They fell at a comparable level. Rather, they hardened their voters in the belief that they were the right choice than they won new ones. And the same leading, top two, i.e. Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki, rather also talked to convinced voters – said Adam Traczyk.
“Other candidates are able to expose his lies”
Adam Traczyk pointed to Sławomir Metzen as a candidate who “was probably a little better than in the previous debate”, but mainly because in the earlier he was “just weak”. Our guest also said why the debates are uncomfortable for the confederation candidate.
– For Sławomir Mentzen, these debates are uncomfortable because the other candidates are able to expose his lies and gaps in his narrative. Sławomir Mentzen tries to introduce as a politician from outside, let's call it, a system, and yet he is the leader of one of the parliamentary parties, as a politician who never changes the sentence who is faithful to his principles, which is different than the others. Well, these debates reveal that it is not like that – he commented.
He also paid attention to “scandalous” words about slaps, which, according to Mentzen, never hurt anyone. According to our guest, this is “affirmation of violence against children”.
– Also his very sharp language on abortion, because he spoke about killing again and this is the language that most Poles reject. As if Poles are aware that abortion is an incredibly delicate matter and is also a personal tragedy of people who are confronted with such a decision at all – commented Adam Traczyk the narrative of Sławomir Mentzen.
