We are already used to the fact that Iga Świątek is like a steamroller when she takes part in Roland Garros. On Wednesday, she defeated Emma Navarro 6-1, 6-2 and advanced to the semifinals, equaling her best result in Melbourne. On the occasion of this meeting, three interesting statistics were presented, thanks to which the Pole was once again among the great figures of tennis.

Świątek has five Grand Slam titles, but so far she has not been able to get past the semi-finals in Australia. She had only reached it once before (2022). And although it may seem that her results were below expectations in Wimbledon (she was in the quarterfinals once), the statistics presented during her match with Navarro by the broadcasters show how consistent she has been since the beginning of her professional career. Well, since 2019, when she started professional competition and made her debut in the senior Grand Slam competition, she has already won 88 matches. During this time, only one person can boast a better result. Novak Djokovic, who has won a record 24 titles of this rank, has accumulated 124 such victories over the last five years.

After the Pole's certain victory against Navarro, ranked eighth in the world, more interesting facts about the 23-year-old appeared. And those are the ones that make an impression. Świątek has just played her 12th match against a Top 10 Grand Slam opponent, and her balance is 9-3. Only Martina Navratilova has been better in the last 40 years, having won one more match.
