Polish companies will promote the economy and domestic business at the starting Expo 2020 exhibition in Dubai. In the Polish Pavilion, companies from industries with the highest export potential to the Middle East markets will be presented, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency announced.
The largest economic and promotional event in the world begins on Friday, which will last until March 31, 2022. For six months, the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai is to be visited by 18 million people.

“The key goal of Poland’s presence is to promote the economy and domestic business, but there will also be a presentation of tourist values as well as elements of culture and art” – said the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, which is responsible for coordinating Poland’s participation in the Expo.
According to PAIH, nearly 1,000 events organized by Poland will take place for six months, and almost 2,500 will benefit from the offer of the economic program. Polish companies. Postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai is organized for the first time in an Arab country.
According to the Agency, the opening ceremony of the Polish Pavilion will start on October 1 at 12.30 local time (10.30 Polish time). “A program of temporary exhibitions will also be inaugurated. The first will be an exhibition prepared by the Marshal’s Office of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and the Ministry of Climate and Environment: Xylopolis. A city powered by nature” – indicated. The exhibition will feature a painting by Leon Tarasewicz with an area of almost 46 square meters.
– We will strengthen our image and promote Poland as a safe destination for investors. The exhibition is a chance to attract new investments for our country – emphasized the president of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Krzysztof Drynda, quoted in the information from PAIH. He added that during the next six months, the “export potential of our entrepreneurs and companies” will be presented at the Expo. – We pay special attention to new markets in the Middle East and Africa – he pointed out.
Director of the Department of Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Development and Technology, Jan Pawelec, pointed out that the exhibition is an opportunity to show the economic potential of, inter alia, Polish regions, as well as the diverse Polish culture and values. – These are the key elements of the further, stable development of our economy and the entire country – he assessed.
The Commissioner General of the Polish Section of the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai, Adrian Malinowski, indicated that in the Polish Pavilion, visitors “will be able to learn the story of Poland’s economic success, our culture and technology, extraordinary nature, and above all, our creativity and entrepreneurship.”
According to PAIH, the greatest achievements of the Polish economy will be presented in the Pavilion. “As part of the multimedia exhibition in the Polish Pavilion, in the ‘Poland. Spirit of ingenuity’ zone, nearly 200 entities representing sectors with the highest export potential to the Middle East markets will be presented” – it was announced.

Malinowski pointed out that this presentation is based on specific examples of successes in the field of economy, science and culture. – The Polish Pavilion will be fully accessible to companies. There is a business center on the second floor with a conference room and a VIP lounge, he pointed out.
According to PAIH, the Polish Pavilion will be the venue for the most important events. The Podlaskie Voivodeship together with the Ministry of Climate and Environment will initiate a program of regional temporary exhibitions. “The most important events of our presentation at Expo 2020 in Dubai will be: Polish Day (November 7, 2021), Polish-Arab Economic Forum (December 6, 2021), Polish-African Economic Forum (February 23, 2022)” – it was noted.
It was added that in the next six months, the Polish Pavilion will also host acting, folklore and acrobatic performances, workshops for children and fashion shows. “The program of cultural and educational events will also include daily Chopin concerts, educational workshops on programming, folk dance and painting ceramics” – it was announced.
Expo 2020 in Dubai
According to the organizers, during the 182 days of Expo 2020, the exhibition will be visited by 18 million people who will pay 25 million visits: from state delegations at the highest level, through business representatives, to tourists and residents of Dubai.
200 countries and organizations, including Poland, will participate in the exhibition. The theme of the Expo in Dubai is “Connecting minds, Creating the future – Connecting minds, creating the future”. The organizers put special emphasis on “cooperation as a recipe for the global crisis caused by the pandemic”.
The arena of the Polish presentation will be the Polish Pavilion with an area of over 2,000 square meters, with a wooden facade and a kinetic sculpture symbolizing a flock of birds. An important element of the exhibition will be an artistic multimedia installation “Polish Table” consisting of 120 modules made of Polish wood and special modules made by leading artists, architects and engineers.
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency – in cooperation with over 40 institutions and ministries – has prepared a special economic program for entrepreneurs. It consists of a dozen or so support tools aimed at Polish companies that want to develop by taking advantage of Poland’s participation in Expo 2020.
