Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, chairwoman of the Supervisory Board and co -owner Adamed Pharma, became the winner of the 22nd edition of the EY Competition Entrepreneur of the Year 2024. Adamkiewicz will represent Poland during the international final of the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 competition.

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz also became a laureate of the category Production and services.

In the category New business Kacper Pupin and Grzegorz Gawroński from Redegate were awarded.

In the category New technologies/innovation The winners are Rafał Młodzki, Marcin Młodzki and Tomasz Młodzki, founders of the photoaid company.

The jury also handed Special prizes The following people: Patrycja Strzelecka, co -founder of Cash Director, Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz, co -founder of YES Jewelry and Władysław Grochowski, co -founder of Arche.

– The winners were elected by a jury independent of EY, which includes primarily entrepreneurs, winners of previous editions. To properly convey to the jurors the history of each participant, our representatives conduct interviews with candidates. As an auditor of the competition, I would like to thank several hundred people with EY involved in the implementation of this undertaking. I am proud that we are organizing a competition that supports and promotes the best entrepreneurs in our country – said Łukasz Zalicki, partner EY Polska, quoted in the announcement, an auditor of the EY entrepreneur of the year.

Winners of the main categories

This year's EY Winner of the Year 2024 – Małgorzata Adamkiewicz – gained the recognition of the jury for “creating a Polish leader in a strategic industry, which, being a family business, became a global organization.”

“Adamed Pharma is a family pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with 100 % Polish capital. The winner is also a promoter of Polish entrepreneurship through cooperation with business and the development of the economy through innovation and international expansion. Adamed offers products in dozens of countries, since 2001 he allocated PLN 2.2 billion for investments and B+R”-

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz also won in the category Production and services for “everyday influence on the lives of millions of people”.

The entrepreneur will represent our country during the international final of the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 competition. The title of best entrepreneur in the world will fight with the winners of local editions of the competition from almost 60 countries.

– Małgorzata Adamkiewicz proves that for entrepreneurs from Poland nothing is impossible, even when they operate in a strategic industry, where competition is very fierce. The innovation and successes of this year's winner and the other winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition show that Polish companies have the potential for effective transformation of our economy, thus ensuring subsequent years of development – said Jacek Kędzior, EY Polska managing partner, quoted in the communiqué.

In the category New technologies/innovation Rafał Młodzki, Marcin Młodzki and Tomasz Młodzki won for “getting customers around the world, thanks to the transfer of a photo booth to the phone.”

“Photoaid is an application for biometric photography that allows you to take photos by phone up to over 10,000 documents, such as passports and ID cards. Artificial intelligence makes it easier to ensure compliance with the requirements. The application is available in over 150 countries and is used by several million people” – the announcement was indicated.

Prize in the category New business Kacpr Pupin and Grzegorz Gawroński from Redegate for “a bold attempt to change the rules of playing in the labor market” were awarded.

“Redegate.com is the first and only portal in Poland like 'Marketplace' enabling the cooperation of external leading experts – experienced interim managers, project managers and industry specialists working as independent freelancers of various disciplines with companies” – explained.

Winners of special prizes

A special prize for “creating an ecosystem on the financial market that facilitates the operation of micro and small enterprises” was won by Patrycja Strzelecka, co -founder of Cashdirector.

“Cashdirector is a fintech company, which has been revolutionizing the accounting industry for the SME sector for 8 years, offering innovative accounting solutions available in online banking in 6 out of the 8 largest Polish banks. Thanks to advanced algorithms of artificial intelligence and cooperation with banks, the company provides comprehensive accounting services, including tax settlements and financial management. Cashdirector currently leads. Pilot projects in three European countries and in the United States, planning further foreign expansion, “we read.

The next special prize was awarded to Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz, co -founder of YES jewelry, for “doing business in harmony with values, success in the development and management of a family company and setting standards in the industry and new directions in business.”

It was written that “YES jewelry, founded by Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz, her husband and brother, is a leading player on the jewelry market with over 200 stores in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He distinguishes with innovation, high quality and personalization of products.”

The last of the special prizes was handed to Władysław Grochowski, the founder of Arche, for “a combination of growing and profitable business with social activities and openness to every person.”

“The Arche company, founded by Władysław Grochowski, specializes in the revitalization of monuments and post -industrial facilities, transforming them into unique hotels. The most important investments are the Palace and the Łochów Farm, Hotel Tobaco in Łódź and the castle in Janów Podlasie. Craftsmen in hotels and cooperating with prisons ” – was handed over in a statement.

It was also explained that the selection of winners was made by a 12-person jury, which includes the authorities of the business world and the rotating winners of previous editions of the competition:
