The hashtags #facebookdown and #messengerisoverparty are among the most popular on Twitter. The former has approximately 1.4 million threads. Every second, Internet users from all over the world post a dozen new memes and jokes about Facebook’s failure.

The failure of Facebook, Insagram, Messenger and WhatsApp for several hours resulted mainly in Twitter. At the time of the failure, many Internet users moved to this social networking site.

“We welcome literally everyone,” Twitter officials wrote on Monday afternoon. Over 3 million people liked the post. “Hello and happy monday” – replied Instagram and added a grimaced face emoticon. “How are you, Instagram social media manager?” – asked from a Reddit account.

Twitter users make fun of Facebook’s crash by posting memes with #facebookdown and #messengerisoverparty. New tweets arrive every second. Some people joke about how sad they were after losing access to Facebook. Others write what they gained from it – in six hours you could sleep or read a book.

“The things I did when FB, IG and WhatsApp weren’t working: I cleaned my bike, looked at my bike, talked to my bike,” wrote an internet user nicknamed Pitero.

Zuckerberg is not laughing

Over three billion users were unable to use Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp for more than 6 hours. The failure began on Monday around 17.40 Polish time. The problems caused the biggest fall in Facebook’s share price on Wall Street in more than a year, almost five percent.

According to Bloomberg, the estimated value of the assets of the Facebook founder has dropped by almost $ 7 billion. Thus, Mark Zuckerberg fell one place in the ranking of the richest people in the world. He apologized for the problems on his Facebook profile.
