This is not an election. We must stop using these democratic words to describe what is happening in Russia, said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, former ambassador to Russia and currently Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. She added that Putin “must lie to win.” She also referred to the planned changes in the National Reconstruction Plan.

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęczrepresentative of Poland 2050, head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, and in the past ambassador of Poland in Russia, referred to the ongoing presidential “elections” in Russia, in which it is known that Vladimir Putin will win. – First of all, they are not elections. We must stop using these democratic words to describe what is happening in Russia, she emphasized in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

As she said, with each election ritual repeated in Russia, the control of the totalitarian, neo-cybertotalitarian state over society is becoming increasingly tighter. At the same time, she said that “Putin must fake to win, because if he didn't have to, he wouldn't fake.”

– We don't really know what Russian society would be like. We don't know what these people think, because we don't know anymore polls are not reliable – she pointed out. – If you have such a tyrant who pulls a society, obviously extremely experienced and distorted by a terrible history, towards war, then the society changes, it becomes a militarized society, brainwashed and thinking, and a completely distorted perception of the world – continued the former ambassador to Russia.

In her opinion, Russian society is increasingly under the influence of the “military regime”. – Russia is becoming a country that lives by war, is fed by war, is fueled by war and is constantly preparing for this war – she said.

Changes in KPO

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz also referred to the revision of the National Reconstruction Plan announced by her ministry. The ministry said that the revision provides for corrections in 11 out of 55 reforms and in 22 out of 56 investments. According to the ministry, they are necessary to offset losses resulting from the delay in launching the KPO. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz announced earlier that after the revision National Reconstruction Plan will be based on three pillars. The first pillar is Polish wind farms, the second is food security, and the third is a change in the Clean Air and Green Deal program.

Changes to the popular program from April

In “Fakty po Faktach”, Pełczyńska-Nałęcz explained that “these changes are necessary for several reasons.” – First of all, we have a two-year delay and this is extremely painful in a project that is scheduled to end in mid-2026. We are postponing everything possible to a later date, but we are postponing it so that we can complete the investments on time, she emphasized.

– The second reason for the changes is to adapt the investments and reforms that have been planned to the actual development needs of Poland. Because some things are very good and very necessary, and others we think should not be in this form, she said. – For example, we will now talk very assertively with the European Commission about removing the reform that introduces a tax on combustion cars – she added.

Return regarding the new tax. Important announcement

– We need to introduce the Green Deal, we want to have (program – ed.) Clean Air, this is all obvious. But this should be achieved with incentives, these incentives are in the KPO and we are increasing them, and not with bans and orders that will simply turn society against the Green Deal, she emphasized.
