He announced that if he receives a written declaration from the Prime Minister that their demands will be met, the protest will probably not be resumed.
Farmers suspend protest
Minister Czesław Siekierski assured at the conference that the demands would be met, but it would take time. He added that funds to meet some of the demands have been provided, among others. in the state budget currently being processed.
At the press conference it was also announced that an agreement had been signed in Medyka with farmers from the “United Village” who are protesting at the crossing in Dorohusk in the province. Lublin Province. The document includes such demands as, among others: suspension of sugar imports and immediate payment of direct subsidies.
Farmers from the “Podkarpacka deceived village” started blocking the crossing in Medyka on November 23 this year. They demand, among others: subsidies for corn, additional money for liquidity loans and maintaining the agricultural tax at the current level next year.
