“Financial Times”: Musk wants to change the British prime minister

Elon Musk, American billionaire and trusted associate of the future president USA Donald Trumpis looking for a way to undermine the government of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, which would go further than his aggressive online entries aimed at Labor Party politicians. “He thinks Western civilization is under threat,” one source told the Financial Times. According to “FT”, the billionaire is considering whether it would be possible to build support for an alternative political movement – e.g. the populist-right Reform UK party – and bring about a change in the position of prime minister before the next elections.

In the British parliamentary political system, prime ministers hold power because they lead the party with the largest number of MPs. In recent decades, several prime ministers won large majorities in elections, but soon had to step down due to weakening support – recalled “FT”.

Last week, Musk attacked British authorities, demanding a national investigation into cases of gang abuse and rape of girls by gangs composed mainly of men of Pakistani origin. The practice lasted for years, especially in northern towns England. When the press revealed the scandal almost 20 years ago, it turned out that the local authorities and services that should have protected the victims – the police, social services, etc. – were passive, among other things for fear of being accused of racism.

Musk accused Starmer, who was then responsible for the sexual abuse of minors in the prosecutor's office, of being co-responsible for the British “rape crisis”, and the then minister Jess Phillips, who rejected the Oldham City Council's call for a national investigation into rape gangs operating in the Manchester area, he called her an “apologist for genocide by rape.”

Starmer strongly rejected Musk's criticism. He said those who “spread lies and disinformation” were not interested in victims but rather in their own gain. Phillips accused Musk of endangering her life.

Musk this weekend distanced himself from Reform UK leader Nigel Farageundermining his hopes for a large donation from the billionaire to his party in the near future. He declared that “the Reform UK party needs a new leader.” According to “FT” sources, Musk was examining potential candidates to replace Farage as party leader, checking what mechanisms he could use for this purpose.

President France Emmanuel Macron accused Musk of supporting a new “international of reactionaries” and interfering in political processes in Europe.
