The Finnish armed forces will receive a new David Slingshot air and missile defense system, the defense ministry announced on Wednesday. – Together with the new F-35 fighters and the systems already in use, Finnish air defense will be of particular importance in Europe – underlined the commander of the air force, Gen. David’s slingshot, a system developed by the Israeli company Rafael and the American Raytheon, will “significantly improve” the defensive capabilities of the Finnish army in the field of combating air targets flying at high altitudes, the release said.
The defense system will be compatible with NATO systems
