A fire at a waste landfill occurred on Sunday evening in Nowy Miszew (Mazowieckie Voivodeship). 20 firefighters are fighting the fire. This is not the first time that garbage has caught fire in this place – the last fire took place in July this year.
The fire broke out on Sunday around 6 p.m. at the landfill in Nowy Miszew.
Junior Brigadier Edward Mysera, press officer of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Płock, said after 7 p.m. that 20 teams were working on site. – These are teams of the State Fire Service and Volunteer Fire Departments, about 80 firefighters – he said.
– The fire covers a part of the landfill measuring 30 by 10 by 8 meters. For now, the situation is under control. The fire does not spread. There is no information about any injured people, he assured.
