Fire hazard throughout the country. IMWM warns

The “medium level” threat applies to the edges of Poland. In the south and north, the fire threat is slightly lower. On the other hand, in the provinces of Mazowieckie, Łódzkie, Zachodniopomorskie, Lubelskie and Świętokrzyskie, IMGW warns of a “very high fire threat”. In places, even “extreme”, including in Warmia and Mazury. In the rest of the country, the fire threat has been assessed as “high”.

Heatwaves all over the country. Up to 34 degrees Celsius

Almost all of Poland is also covered by the alerts of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management of the 1st and 2nd degree. Only by the sea temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. To put it simply – Saturday will be very hot, and this favors fire. Thermometers will show 34 degrees in many regions of the country. Around 1:00 p.m., IMGW reported that the temperature at the synoptic stations in Tarnów and Kozienice had already exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

IMWM spokesman Grzegorz Walijewski in an interview with Polish radio warned that on Saturday the temperature could even reach the 34 degrees Celsius mentioned earlier. – This is the maximum temperature that we will see especially in the Opole region, Silesia. It is possible that it will also be in the Łódź region. On Sunday, it will also be around 34 degrees. However, on Sunday, an atmospheric front will pass through. It will most likely not be as dangerous as what happened a few days ago in Warsaw or Zamość. However, it will be a windier front – he explained.
