The State Fire Service announced on Wednesday that the fire is no longer spreading in the Biebrza National Park. “The extinguishing of individual zarzewi fire in hard -to -reach, wetlands is underway,” said the senior brigadier Karol Kierzkowski, spokesman for the Headquarters of the State Fire Service.
A spokesman for the main state of the State Fire Service announced on Wednesday morning that the fire in the Biebrza National Park did not spread. 387 firefighters and 104 vehicles take part in the activities.
“The fire of individual fire in hard -to -reach, wetland areas is underway,” the senior brigadier Karol Kierzkowski, spokesman for the General Headquarters of the State Fire Service, said on the portal.
Prosecutor's investigation
The fire in Biebrzański PN broke out on Sunday at the interface of the Augustów and Moniec poviats near the villages of Kopytkowo (Sztabin commune, Augustów poviat). According to firefighters, he covered about 450 hectares of park.
