A fire broke out on Sunday near the Croatian city of Split. On Kontakt24 we received recordings showing the extinguishing operation. 80 firefighters are battling the fire.
The fire broke out on Sunday at around 6pm near the Croatian resort of Split. This is the second fire to break out in the region this year. We received a recording of the firefighting operation on Kontakt24. Mrs. Urszula, the author of the recordings, is currently there with her family.
– Areas located about 10-15 kilometers from the center of Split are burning. We saw four planes extinguishing the fire, we could hear fire trucks driving by. The fire is spreading quite quickly, and there are buildings nearby – reported Reporterka24. She added that the fire does not pose a threat to their safety for now.
According to Croatian media, 80 firefighters are battling the fire. “We are trying to put out the fire. We are in the field and working,” said Tomislav Šale Mihanović, one of the firefighters.
