Dozens of large forest fires are ravaging Spain, especially its northern and western parts. The element, intensified by strong winds, on Monday approached the city limits of Tabara in the Zamora province. Numerous air-assisted firefighters face the raging flames there.

The inhabitants also went to fight the fire. To stop the fire from spreading further and save their homes, they moved their excavators and tractors to the flame-consumed farmland to dig trenches – buffers between the city and the pressing element.
