Krystyna Demska-Olbrychska called the minister a “tragic mistake”

Daniel Olbrychski talked about his Christmas roles and traditions in the breakfast room. At some point, however, he changed the topic and started talking about politics. – I would like to talk about two more disappointments of the last year. Two such deepest disappointments. The first global one – I was disappointed by the American society, which has always been at the forefront in its elections,” he said, referring to Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election. After a while, the actor attacked the Polish governmentor more precisely in the election of Hanna Wróblewska as Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Putting her in this position he called it “a shame for Polish culture”.

And I was disappointed by our ruling coalition, which artists support as best they can, 99% of the time with the choice of the Ministry of Culture, which is a shame for Polish culture and for this coalition.

– the viewers heard.

The actor's words spread across the Internet. Now his wife, who did not comment on political issues in the breakfast studio (perhaps because the airtime was running out), decided to comment on them. On her Facebook account, she shared an entry by former deputy minister of culture (he held the office in 2005-2009), Maciej Klimczak, who quoted Olbrychski's statement about Wróblewska. Krystyna Demska-Olbrychska in the comments below the entry not only did she side with her husband, but she also attacked the politician herself and called her a “tragic mistake.”

I think Daniel hit the nail on the head. Because although we have always been loyal fans of Donald Tusk, we have always believed that he is our fantastic LEAD, our Minister of Culture is unfortunately a tragic mistake

– she started.

Her next words were even harsher. “In our environment Hanna Wróblewska has the nickname 'Jurgielka', because it was with Minister Jurgiel's decision to destroy the Arabian horse studs in Janów and Michałów that PiS's destruction of Poland began nine years ago. So the nickname is fully deserved. Dear Prime Minister, help! People of culture value you, support you and love you. Throw us a lifeline!” – she wrote, addressing Donald Tusk.

Krystyna Demska-Olbrychska about Hanna Wróblewska. “Destroys everything that functions perfectly”

It didn't end there, because in subsequent comments Demska-Olbrychska attacked Wróblewska again. She compared her to Piotr Gliński, who was the Minister of Culture and National Heritage during the PiS government. “Gliński spoiled everything he could, it destroys everything that functions perfectly” – she blurted out. When asked what exactly the minister, the actor's wife, “destroyed”. she was fired up againbut did not provide any specific examples. Her statement was enigmatic. “Just browse the Internet and read announcements of competitions for the positions of directors of several fantastically functioning and valued cultural institutions in the world, etc. etc..” – she wrote.
