1. Manhunt around Gdynia

The police manhunt for Grzegorz Borys, a 44-year-old man suspected of murdering his 6-year-old son, has been going on for five days. Helicopters, tracking dogs and over a thousand people – policemen, soldiers, forest guards and firefighters – take part in the action.

The monitoring obtained by “Fakty” TVN shows a recording of a man with a backpack running towards the forest near the Tricity bypass. It’s only a few hundred meters from the crime scene across the bridge over the expressway. It is in this area that the search has been focused for four days.

2. Fighting in the airplane cockpit

An Alaska Airlines flight to San Francisco was redirected to Portland after a passenger in the cockpit tried to turn off the plane’s engines, according to a notification from the US Federal Aviation Administration obtained by Reuters journalists.

The 44-year-old pilot, who was not on duty at the time of the incident and was traveling in the cockpit, was charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.

3. Train disaster in Bangladesh

A train disaster occurred in Dhaka province in the central part of Bangladesh. A freight train collided with a passenger train.

As a result of the tragedy, at least 15 people died and dozens were injured, local authorities informed. It is not yet known what caused the disaster.

The 4th Israeli Army attacked a Hamas facility in a refugee camp

The Israeli military said it struck a Hamas facility in a Gaza refugee camp on Monday evening. According to the health ministry of the Palestinian enclave, many people were killed or injured, Reuters reported.

Army spokesman Israel said the attack targeted Hamas’ training ground in the Al-Shati camp in Gaza, which adjoins the Mediterranean coast. He did not provide further details.

5. Armed terrorist attack in Mexico

At least 11 policemen were killed in an armed attack on Monday in the southern state of Guerrero Mexicowhere violence related to drug trafficking is common, the local prosecutor’s office said.

Unidentified attackers targeted a security patrol in Coyuca de Benitez (southwestern Guerrero state) while the local security secretary was traveling.
