Piotr Wawrzyk dismissed from the position of deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The court in Warsaw dismissed the Confederation’s election lawsuit. 1. Wawrzyk dismissed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Piotr Wawrzyk, the former deputy minister of foreign affairs, no longer holds this function. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki On August 31, he dismissed him as secretary of state. It was reported that “the reason for this decision was the lack of satisfactory cooperation.”

Wawrzyk is a political scientist and lawyer, with a habilitation degree in social sciences. In 2018-2019 he was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and from 2019 he served as Secretary of State. Since 2019, he has also been an MP, elected from lists PIS.

2. Confederation’s election lawsuit dismissed

The Warsaw court dismissed the lawsuit filed by the Confederation against “Gazeta Wyborcza” in the electoral procedure. The case concerned the newspaper’s statements about the group’s health care program.

The court found that the article was of a journalistic nature and, moreover, in the court’s opinion, “the challenged statement did not contain false information” and the journalists were entitled to the wordings used.

3. Dramatic rescue operation

In the city of Warren, Michigan, US police officers rescued a 1.5-year-old boy who lost consciousness while driving a car. The panicked mother tried unsuccessfully to help the child. Everything happened in the middle of the intersection.

The entire incident was recorded by cameras in the police car and on the policemen’s uniforms. In the recording, you can hear the child’s mother dramatically calling for help. – Help! My baby is dying! – the shaking woman screamed.

4. Proud Boys members sentenced

In the trial of people who broke the law during the riots at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, another member of the right-wing group Proud Boys, Dominic Pezzola, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday.

On the same day, for trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from the winner of… elections presidential elections of 2020 Joe Biden Ethan Nordean was sentenced to 18 years in prison – a sentence equal to that received by Stewart Rhodes, the founder of another extremist group, Oath Keepers.

5. Riots on the border with the Gaza Strip

Dozens of young Palestinians gathered on Friday along the border separating the Gaza Strip from Israelto protest by burning tires, throwing rocks and homemade explosives at Israeli soldiers on the other side of the barriers. At least three Palestinians were injured.

After arriving at the scene, the army used tear gas to clear the rioters from the area, an army spokesman said. Warning shots were fired.
