The parents of a 15-year-old murderer of four schoolmates were sentenced to long-term prison. There was also a verdict in the case of a sex party at the rectory. In turn, Confederation MP Grzegorz Braun was charged with, among other things, insulting a group of people on the premises of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on religious grounds. 1. Parents of 15-year-old killer sentenced

James and Jennifer Crumbley were sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison for manslaughter in connection with the shooting of four school friends by their 15-year-old son Ethan in 2021. The court agreed to the penalty requested by the prosecutor's office.

Announcing the verdict, Judge Cheryl Matthews, presiding over the trial, said the high penalty in the first trial of its kind was intended to serve as a deterrent to other parents who ignore their children's mental problems. She noted that the parents received “many alarm signals” about their son, but “no one responded, and these two people should have done it and didn't.”

2. The verdict was passed in the case of a sex party at the rectory

In a quick trial, the District Court in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Silesian Voivodeship) sentenced Father Tomasz Z to prison for a year and a half. He was responsible for failing to provide first aid to a man during a sex party at the rectory, as well as for a crime against sexual freedom and decency and for providing drugs.

The whole matter came to light as a result of the publication of “Gazeta Wyborcza”, which described the police intervention in a parish apartment in Dąbrowa Górnicza, which took place in August 2023. Someone called an ambulance for the unconscious man, but the rescuers were not allowed. So they asked the police for help.

3. The giant is closing its factory in Poland

4. Grzegorz Braun was charged

On Tuesday, Confederation MP Grzegorz Braun was charged with, among other things, insulting a group of people on the premises of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on religious grounds.

The case concerns an incident that took place on December 12 last year, when a politician used a powder fire extinguisher to extinguish Hanukkah candles lit during a ceremony in the Sejm. Then he appeared at the Sejm podium while the meeting was chaired by Deputy Marshal Krzysztof Bosak.

The meeting was then taken over by Marshal Hołownia, who excluded Braun from the meeting and announced that he would submit an application against him to the prosecutor's office, among others. for disturbing a religious ceremony. Hołownia also announced that the Presidium of the Sejm had punished Braun by depriving him of half of his salary for three months and his entire allowance for six months.

5. Dengue epidemic in Argentina

Argentina is facing the largest ever epidemic of dengue, a mosquito-borne disease. Media reported that a teenager and a middle-aged man died suddenly on the streets of Cordoba. They were supposed to be suffering from dengue.

Reports of the deaths of two people in public places shocked the inhabitants of Cordoba, the Clarin daily reported. Medical authorities launched an investigation to determine the causes of death, but the families of the deceased told journalists that they had dengue.
