1. The most powerful rocket in the world has reached the edge of space
Starship is the largest rocket ever built. It consists of a ship and a booster called Super Heavy, which together are 120 meters high. The rocket was launched from the test base located on Boca Chica Beach in Texas at 2:03 p.m. Polish time. It crossed the border of space and both sections separated, which failed during the first test flight a few months ago.
On Saturday, everything went according to plan until a certain point. The unmanned rocket reached space, and less than three minutes after launch, its two stages separated – which did not take place during the April flight. Shortly thereafter, however, there was an unexpected explosion of the first stage of the rocket, which should have fallen to Earth.

The bodies of a 29-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged 1.5 and 4.5, were found in Puszczykowo near Poznań. The woman’s husband and the girls’ father were arrested in connection with this case. The case is being handled by the Poznań City Police Headquarters and the prosecutor’s office. According to the spokesman for the Greater Poland Police, Junior Inspector Andrzej Borowiak, the woman was 29 years old. The children are two girls – aged 1.5 and 4.5.
3. Death of a young fan during a Taylor Swift concert
A 23-year-old fan felt bad during Taylor Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro. She was taken to hospital, but her life could not be saved. The singer commented on the situation on social media. “I feel sad when I even try to talk about it,” she wrote. The Minister of Justice ordered the initiation of proceedings regarding the lack of access to water for the audience gathered at the concert.
The event took place at the Estádio Nilton Santos stadium and was attended by approximately 60,000 people. According to the organizer of the event, medical staff immediately took care of the 23-year-old woman, who was then taken to a medical point and later to a hospital, where she died.

4. The head of OpenAI lost his job
Sam Altman, head of OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, was fired from his position. The board found that he had not been “consistently honest in his communications,” the BBC reported. It was explained that the company needed a different management style. This news caused a shock in the IT sector. Reuters reported, citing the industry portal The Information, that three Poles left OpenAI: Jakub Pachocki, Aleksander Mądry and Szymon Sidor.
Altman, 38, commented on social media that his time at openAI was “important to him.” “It was a time of transformation for me, but also, hopefully, change for the whole world. First of all, I loved working with such talented people,” he wrote.

5. Very difficult conditions in the Tatra Mountains, second degree of avalanche danger
Rescuers from the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue Service announced the second level of avalanche danger on Saturday afternoon.
