1. Trump found guilty

The jury found Donald Trump guilty of falsifying accounting documents. These are allegations of concealing expenses to pay $130,000 to porn actress Stormy Daniels so that she would not reveal information about their alleged affair to the media.

The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to one year in prison, but the sentence will be decided by Judge Juan Merchan, who presides over the case. The jury's landmark decision means Trump becomes the first president in history USA convicted in a criminal case.

2. Russia announces “retaliatory steps” against Poland

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it would “take retaliatory steps” against the Polish embassy in Moscow and general consulates in Irkutsk, Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg.

This is intended to be a response to restrictions regarding the rules for the movement of Russian diplomats on Polish territory.

3. The Prime Minister of Slovakia, injured in the attack, has been released from hospital

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was released from the hospital in Banská Bystrica on Thursday, where he was recovering after the attack.

The media report that the injured prime minister was transported by helicopter to Bratislava. The fact that the patient was discharged from the facility to which he was sent immediately after the failed attack on May 15 was confirmed by the director of the hospital, Miriam Lapunikova. She did not specify where Fica's further treatment would take place.

4. Thunderstorms, cloudbursts and hail over Poland

On Corpus Christi, conditions favorable for storms prevailed over almost all of Poland. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued storm meteorological warnings for all voivodeships, and second-degree alerts were in force in 11 regions. An RCB alert has also been issued.

By 6 p.m., firefighters intervened over 200 times, mainly in northern and central Poland. There was a strong wind, it was pouring rain, and locally there was heavy hail.

5. Biden will come to Europe

US President Joe Biden will visit in early June France – the Elysée Palace and the White House announced on Thursday. He will take part in celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy and will also meet with French leader Emmanuel Macron.

The aim of the leaders' meeting, devoted to global crises, will be to prepare subsequent international meetings, including the G7 summit Italy mid-June and July peak FOR THIS in Washington.
