1. Kaczyński painted over the plaque on the wreath

On Monday evening, Jarosław Kaczyński and his close associates appeared in front of the monument to the victims of the Smolensk disaster.

The President of Law and Justice had a spray with him and painted over a plaque on the wreath holding his brother responsible for the tragedy. He did not respond to the police's calls.

2. An extraordinary discovery in Greece

The Ministry of Culture of Greece announced that during the construction of an airport in Crete, a unique find from the times of the Minoan culture was discovered. The ministry stressed that the approximately 1,800-square-meter facility must be thoroughly examined to determine its significance.

The facility was discovered while preparing the ground for a new international airport near Chania. It is located on the top of the Papura hill, at an altitude of 494 meters, where it was planned to install a radar for the airport.

3. Viki Gabor attacked with gas, her father beaten

Singer Viki Gabor was sprayed with gas after a scuffle that occurred in a traffic jam between her father and another driver in Warsaw's Ochota district.

The artist's father was beaten and taken to hospital. The 16-year-old singer with facial and eye injuries is also under medical care. The police detained a 34-year-old man from the second car on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 157 of the Penal Code, i.e. causing light or moderate bodily harm.

4. The jury decided the Hunter Biden case

Hunter Biden was found guilty on two counts of lying about his drug use on an authorization form to purchase a Colt Cobra revolver in 2018 and on one count of possession of a firearm by a person who uses or is addicted to drugs.

A jury in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware, reached a unanimous decision on the verdict after just three hours of deliberations. This is the first child of a sitting US president to be convicted in a criminal trial.

5. Zelensky in the Bundestag

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech in the Bundestag. He said he believed in Europe, which would be a “continent without war.”

His speech was boycotted by most deputies of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, as well as several representatives of the radical left-wing Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW).
