We have a reserve of one billion złoty for the needs of places and people affected by the flood. The Minister of Finance assured me that there will be no shortage of funds for assistance – informed Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Donald Tusk He met with journalists at Warsaw's Okęcie airport before flying to Wrocław, where he will take part in a meeting of the crisis management team.
– I have contacted the Minister of Finance and at the moment we have a reserve of one billion złoty for the needs of places and people affected by the flood. The Minister assured me, in line with our expectations, that there will be no shortage of funds for direct and long-term aid – informed the Prime Minister.
Tusk also spoke about the state of natural disaster that the government intends to introduce. – We will try – and that is how I convinced the ministers today – to use the tools that the state of natural disaster gives us very restrainedly and with the necessary delicacy – he noted.
– It is not our intention to restrict civil rights beyond any need. We have at our disposal in the regulation on the state of natural disaster such a tool as an evacuation order, but we will (use – ed.) them only in a situation where human life is directly threatened. But we will rather constantly try to convince people, and these arguments are becoming more and more obvious – he added.
