On Tuesday, the government met to adopt the draft of the so-called special flood act. – We will be able to mobilize up to PLN 23 billion for aid and reconstruction after the flood – announced Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
– The special flood act is 100 pages of amendments that will improve the current, applicable law, make assistance easier and more flexible – said the Prime Minister at a government meeting Donald Tusk.
– When it comes to flood relief and the Reconstruction Plus programme, at the moment, including European funds, we assume that we will be able to mobilise up to PLN 23 billion – the Prime Minister said.
Special Flood Act
As indicated in the list of legislative works, the proposed provisions of the so-called special flood act will introduce changes to several dozen acts. Among the proposed changes is the possibility of granting additional care allowances and a random allowance intended to meet the educational needs of children in schools or “pre-schools”.
The government also wants to shorten and simplify procedures for municipalities as investors in water management, as well as to shorten procedures for issuing decisions on environmental conditions related to counteracting the effects of floods and related to the provision of health services.
