There are 113 blocked roads across the country, according to information provided by police and road workers at Tuesday's crisis headquarters. Drivers from the Opole, Lower Silesia and Silesian provinces will face difficulties.
– We have information from the director of the road traffic office that we have 113 roads blocked, including the A4 motorway, one border crossing, 22 national roads, 40 provincial roads, and as many as 50 county roads – the police representative listed. He declared that “where possible, we organize detours”. – Where it is not possible, we stand and warn people not to enter – he said.
Blocked roads
A representative of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways spoke about which roads are blocked.
– The General Directorate (National Roads and Motorways – ed.) is constantly monitoring the situation in the field and is in the field 24 hours a day. On-site road patrols are working closely with the police and fire brigade to secure the flooded areas.
He reported that as of Tuesday at 6 a.m. “road disruptions occur on national roads in the Opole, Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesian voivodeships.”
– In the Lower Silesian Voivodeship we have national road number 33section Kłodzko – state border in Boboszów, in the town of Żelazno the road is blocked on the entire section. Services are working and we want to allow traffic today, including for humanitarian aid – he listed.
– Way number 39 section Strzelin – Wiązów, Głęboka village – road blocked due to high water levels. In Lower Silesian Voivodeship number 94in the town of Bolesławiec, the bridge was closed due to high water levels and safety – he said.
