Heavy rains covered almost the entire Kentucky territory. Over a thousand rescue operations have already been carried out, and the search for people imprisoned as a result of the flood is ongoing. Evacuations covered hundreds of residents.

On Monday evening, there were over 13,000 houses and companies in Kentucky without electricity.
Local WLWT television said that President Donald Trump approved Beshear's application for the statement of a natural disaster. Thanks to this, Kentucky can use federal resources.
146 national soldiers of the National Guard were directed to help in the fight against flood. A special task team – Ohio Task Force – also joined the action.
