In the commune of Siedlisko near Nowa Sol (Lubuskie Province), the situation is difficult. There is supposed to be about 10 centimetres less water than in 1997. Residents, firefighters, and even soldiers are doing everything they can to protect themselves from the high water. Dębianka and Radocin are two towns in the Siedlisko commune that are most exposed to flooding– There are about 60 residents living there and they have already been informed about the possibility of evacuating to a nearby school, where a safe shelter has been prepared for them – reported TVN24 reporter Nadia Rulak. She emphasized that the approaching wave will be different than in 1997. – It will last several days, so residents must be prepared for the fact that this high water will remain here longer than usual in many places – she added.
