Earlier on Wednesday, the deputy commander of the 2nd Engineering Regiment in Inowrocław, Lieutenant Colonel Arkadiusz Syrocki, announced that the army had already begun work on restoring the crossings over the Biała Głuchołaska River, where the flood destroyed two bridges.

After the riverbed is cleared, an inventory is to be carried out and it will be checked whether the abutments that survived the flood can be reused. Construction of the bridge is to begin after the structure is delivered from the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves.

The bridges to be built in Głuchołazy will be temporary bridges of the DMS-65 structure, i.e. road folding bridges. They are to ensure two-way traffic. – This was the condition presented by the mayor of Głuchołazy – Syrocki noted and added that on national road no. 40 there is very heavy transit traffic between Poland and Czechs.
