Appeal from the police and the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration

The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, also commented on this issue in the Sejm on Wednesday. He asked for a “reliable assessment of what is happening, for it to be based on facts, and for respect for the flood victims.” Siemoniak emphasized that only the police provides information about fatalities. He added that “no one is exerting any pressure in any direction here (…) and the police and health services operate in such situations.”

– Building emotions, talking about hundreds of victims – such things also appeared in the media – is really unfair to the police, which reliably reports these matters from the police station, through district and provincial headquarters – emphasized the minister.
