The flood situation in southern Poland is still very difficult. In this publication, we show what the city of Kłodzko in Lower Silesia looked like before the flooding and what it looks like after the element passed. We also show Głuchołazy in Opole Province, where the water broke the embankments.

Kłodzko is one of many towns in the Kłodzko Valley that has been flooded as a result of torrential rains that have been ongoing since Thursday. Here, the Nysa Kłodzka River burst its banks.

Kościuszki Street has turned into rushing streams. Mayor Michał Piszko reported on Sunday morning that 10 streets in the city center are under water.

Due to high water levels, the bridge in Głuchołazy was closed.

150 liters per square meter

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management forecasts rainfall totals of up to 150 liters per square meter in the Lower Silesia, Opole, Silesia, and Lesser Poland provinces from Thursday to Sunday, which could cause flash floods. A warning of heavy rainfall of the highest – third degree – is in force in these provinces. The heaviest rainfall is forecast in the Kłodzko Valley.
