The Social Insurance Institution reminds that entrepreneurs affected by the flood may receive relief in paying contributions to the Social Insurance Institution. Available solutions include, among others, deferring the deadline for payment of contributions or dividing the dues into installments. The matter can be dealt with without leaving home.

“We understand that due to the flood, some entrepreneurs may have problems with financial liquidity. That is why we would like to remind you about the reliefs that you can apply for first,” the spokesman said. Social Insurance Institution Pawel Zebrowski.

What can an entrepreneur do?

As he pointed out, concluding an agreement with ZUS brings a number of benefits, including that no interest is charged on contributions covered by the relief, instead a prolongation fee is charged. In addition, an entrepreneur who pays installments on time and in the agreed amount and pays current contributions may obtain a certificate of no arrears in paying contributions, which is needed, among other things, in tender procedures. The ZUS spokesman reminded that an application for deferring the deadline for payment of contributions or dividing the debt into installments may be submitted electronically via the ZUS PUE profile, by mail, or in person at a ZUS branch.

The scope of documents that must be attached to the application is always determined individually and depends on the type of business and the form of taxation. The entrepreneur can also use the help of a tax relief and write-off advisor at selected ZUS branches, and the employees of the customer service room will also help him – noted Å»ebrowski.

“We also encourage you to handle ZUS matters without leaving your home: during an e-visit via the ZUS Electronic Services Platform, by phone through the ZUS Customer Contact Centre at 22 560 16 00 from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,” added the ZUS spokesman.
