Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his government present information on the floods that have affected Poland in the Sejm. – I cannot begin this government information otherwise than with words of thanks and tribute to all those whom you see on the spot, in the media, about thousands, tens of thousands of people, these silent heroes, residents of these lands – said the Prime Minister.

Tusk on “silent heroes”
– I cannot begin this government announcement in any other way than with words of thanks and tribute to all those whom you see on the spot, in the media, thousands, tens of thousands of people, these silent heroes, inhabitants of these lands – said the Prime Minister.
– It is good that in this room they can hear that regardless of party colors, we all unite with them today in their pain, in their concern, in their gigantic work – he added. He pointed out that “it concerns both those who were harmed by this great flood, but we also have in our hearts those who selflessly for many, many days, sometimes 48 hours without a moment's sleep, help in the fight against the flood and its effects”.
– Without this gigantic effort of tens of thousands of people there and hundreds of thousands of people who in various ways show solidarity, practical help for those fighting the flood, we would not have had a chance with this, as it turns out according to the latest reports of scientific teams from Poland and Europe, the biggest downpour in history – he continued. According to him, “never has so much rain fallen in Central Europe in such a short time”.
