Flash floods hit southern and central Morocco late last week, leaving dead and missing.
Floods caused by heavy rains in the provinces of Tata, Tiznit and Ar-Rashidia have killed at least 18 people, Moroccan authorities said on Sunday. The victims included three foreigners from Spain, Canada and Peru. At least four other people remain missing after waters flooded several villages in the region. Nine were initially reported missing.
56 houses were destroyed. Over 100 roads were damaged, as well as electricity, water and telephone networks.
Local media showed footage of flash flooding in the town of Imlil.
