What everyone feared has happened, the worst has happened, you could say, Kłodzko is being flooded – TVN24 journalist Paweł Łukasik reported at night. The Government Security Center has issued a warning to residents of the Kłodzko district.
– This wave, which was supposed to appear here at night, appeared around two o'clock. This is the restaurant that we visited yesterday, which was saved yesterday, which they tried to secure – said the TVN24 reporter.
“Associations with 1997”
– We can only watch at the moment, practically helplessly. Earlier, both firefighters and residents, in a somewhat general mobilization, tried to secure this place in some way, and also to defend at least this part of the city from the water – he said.

– And once again, these associations and situations, as the residents themselves say, are very similar to 1997, apart from – touch wood, at least for now – the scale of what is happening here – said the journalist.
– When we were here earlier, around 10 p.m., we could walk normally, now we can see that it is flooded and all these buildings are flooded – said Krystian Kot from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Kłodzko in an interview with a TVN24 reporter.
– The embankments simply broke and the water came in – he added.
“After 2 a.m. the first wave reached Kłodzko, the water level in the Nysa Kłodzka in Kłodzko exceeded 6 meters. Streets and houses in the city are flooded by water from the Nysa Kłodzka and Młynówka” – it was also reported on the social media of the local Kłodzko Television.
RCB alert for Kłodzko County
On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the Government Security Center issued an alert for residents of the Kłodzko district. “Attention! Possible evacuation in the Kłodzko district in the areas located along the Biała Lądecka and Nysa Kłodzka rivers. Be careful. Follow the instructions of the services,” warns the RCB.
