In the coming days, Poland will be dominated by a cold atmospheric front, which will bring rainfall in parts of the country. On Thursday and Friday, we can also expect gusty winds. The following days will be colder, the maximum temperature will drop to 14-15 degrees Celsius, and the first frosts will appear at night.
Poland will be within the range of a deep low pressure system from the British Isles and the North Sea, in a stream of warm air flowing to us from southwestern Europe – said tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Damian Zdonek.
A zone of inactive, cold atmospheric front will be marked over Poland, which will bring rainfall mainly in the west and north of the country, but it cannot be ruled out in other regions as well.
Warning: we can expect moments of strong and gusty winds – especially in the mountains, where foehn winds can reach gusts of up to 80-90 km/h.
The next few days will be marked by changeable and dynamic weather with occasional rain showers, but also with numerous clear spells. A few degrees of cooling is forecast from Saturday, which, combined with clearing up overnight, could result in the first ground frosts this fall. These could occur on the night from Sunday to Monday and from Monday to Tuesday.
Rainy and windy days
Thursday will bring cloudy weather with clearings. Locally, especially in the west and north, there will be light, showery rainfall from 5 to 10 l/m2 in Western Pomerania to 5 l/m2 in the rest of the country. Maximum temperature will be from 18-19 degrees Celsius in Pomerania to 22-23 degrees Celsius in Podkarpacie. The wind will be quite strong, southerly. Gusts can reach speeds of up to 40-60 km/h, and in the mountains up to 70-90 m/h.
On Friday, there will be local rainfall, especially in the north and east. In the rest of the country it will be quite sunny. Thermometers will show from 20 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania to 23 degrees Celsius in Subcarpathia. Moderate to quite strong winds will blow from south-westerly directions, which will be strong in the north. Gusts can reach 60-70 km/h.

Gradual cooling
On Saturday, the sky will be variable cloud cover with light, scattered rain showers. Maximum temperatures everywhere will be below 20 degrees Celsius. Thermometers will show from 15 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania to 19 degrees Celsius in Subcarpathia. The wind will be moderate, gusty in the north, westerly.
Sunday will bring sunny weather, without precipitation. Maximum temperature will be around 14-15 degrees Celsius throughout the country. Moderate wind will blow, gusty in the north, westerly and north-westerly.
It will also be sunny on Monday. The forecast does not indicate any rain. The thermometers will show from 14-15 degrees Celsius in the east of the country to 16 degrees Celsius in the west. The wind will be weak and variable.
