Mists appear on Thursday morning in Poland. In the north of the country, they are dense, limiting visibility in places up to 50 meters. Fogs may persist for several hours.
Poland is under the influence of a vast, stable Hazal high with its center over the Faroe Islands, which has been shaping the weather in this part of Europe for several days. This baric system is weakening over the next few days, and the aura in our country will begin to be influenced by the low pressure from north-western Russia.
Dense fog on Thursday
On Thursday, from the north, mild and moist polar air begins to flow to Poland from the Atlantic Ocean, which is conducive to the formation of fog and low clouds, especially in the north, east and center of the country, Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, weather forecaster for tvnmeteo.pl informed. She emphasized that “locally over the sea, the fog is thick as milk.”
Around 8 o’clock visibility was limited due to fog:
– IN Ustkaup to 50 meters;
– in Wlodawaup to 600m;
Communication difficulties are possible. The fog will last until 10 or 11 am.
