A group of locals rescued a young goat that was stranded on a cliffside on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaii. The animal spent four days there, local media reported.
One of the island's residents first noticed the animal on Monday. The services tried to save the goat, but to no avail.
After news of a baby goat stranded on a cliff in need of help spread on social media, several islanders banded together and organized a rescue operation of their own.
Apples helped
When the group of people reached the cliff on Thursday, the goat was in the same place.
As they described in an interview with local media, they managed to lure the scared animal by placing apples next to it, and distracted its attention using a drone. As she came closer, the man grabbed her in his arms. It took 45 minutes to bring her down the cliff.
The goat, which the residents named Bala, is now in an animal sanctuary.
