An undulating atmospheric front, stretching from northern Scandinavia, through the Baltic Sea and Poland, to southern Germany and France, separates the hot tropical air masses from the cool polar masses coming from the Atlantic.

Therefore, Europe is divided into the hot south and east and the much cooler north and partly west.

– The separation of these different masses could be clearly observed on Wednesday on our coast, when around noon the temperature in its western part did not even rise to 20 degrees Celsius, while in the area of ​​the Gulf of Gdańsk it was already approaching 30 degrees – informed tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Daniel Kowalczyk.

On Thursday, the front zone will still run through our country, but it will be arranged more latitudinally, unfortunately cutting off Pomerania from the hot tropical masses. The rest of the country, however, will still be in the stream of hot air. In addition, a dose of moisture will flow to us from the Black Sea, which will be conducive to the development of storm clouds – mainly in the eastern and southern parts of the country.

On Thursday it will be cloudy. In Pomerania and Gorzów Land there is a shower. In the rest of the country, locally, they may occur storms with precipitation reaching 10-30 l/sqm. and gusts of wind reaching 60-80 km / h. How warm will it be? We anticipate from 24 degrees C in the area of ​​the Gulf of Gdańsk to 32 degrees C in Mazovia. East winds will be mostly light to moderate.

On Friday in the south-western regions of the country and in Podlasie it will be sunny. In addition, we forecast showers, as well as storms with rainfall of 10-30 l / sq m. The temperature at the warmest moment of the day will range from 26 degrees C in Gdańsk Pomerania to 32 degrees C in Podlasie. The east wind, generally weak and moderate, only blows stronger in thunderstorms, with a speed of up to 80 km/h.

On Saturday, the clouds will be small and moderate, but we warn you – storms are possible in Podkarpacie. It’s going to be hot all over the country. We forecast from 30 degrees C in Pomerania to 33 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind, south-east, generally blows weakly and moderately, only in storms gusts will be stronger.

Sunday promises to be sunny – generally cloudiness will be small and moderate. More clouds from which it may fall occasionally can be seen in the regions of the northern regions. Note: storms are possible in the Suwałki Region, during which the wind will blow at a speed of up to 80 km/h. On thermometers we will see a maximum of 26 degrees C in the Szczecin Lowland to 31 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind, coming from changing directions, will be light to moderate.

On Monday, eastern Poland will be cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be fine. There are many indications that the heat will leave Poland. Thermometers at the warmest moment of the day should show from 25 degrees C in Pomerania to 28 degrees C in Podkarpacie. North-westerly winds will be weak to moderate.
