Wednesday is hot, but not everywhere. In places on the Baltic Sea, the temperature did not reach 20 degrees at noon. How long will the heatwave last? Will it also reach Western Pomerania? What, apart from the heat, should we expect in the weather? Find the answers to these questions in the 5-day weather forecast.
An undulating atmospheric front, stretching from northern Scandinavia, through the Baltic Sea and Poland, to southern Germany and France, separates the hot tropical air masses from the cool polar masses coming from the Atlantic.
Therefore, Europe is divided into the hot south and east and the much cooler north and partly west.
– The separation of these different masses could be clearly observed on Wednesday on our coast, when around noon the temperature in its western part did not even rise to 20 degrees Celsius, while in the area of the Gulf of GdaÅ„sk it was already approaching 30 degrees – informed tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Daniel Kowalczyk.

On Thursday, the front zone will still run through our country, but it will be arranged more latitudinally, unfortunately cutting off Pomerania from the hot tropical masses. The rest of the country, however, will still be in the stream of hot air. In addition, a dose of moisture will flow to us from the Black Sea, which will be conducive to the development of storm clouds – mainly in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
