At the railway crossing in Podkowa Leśna, a train from the Warsaw Commuter Railway collided with a passenger car. The movement of trains in both directions was stopped for about an hour.
On Kontakt 24 we got information that in Podkowa Leśna (Grodzisk poviat) around 8 p.m. a car collided with the Warsaw Commuter Railway. It was about the course Warszawa 19:20 – Grodzisk 20:15.
The WKD confirmed this information in a release posted on the website. It shows that at the crossing within the Podkowa Leśna Główna station “a train collided with a car vehicle”. From around 8.05 pm there were difficulties in the movement of trains on the WKD line. “The movement of trains within the Podkowa Leśna Główna station is suspended in both directions until the end of explanatory activities at the scene by the Police services” – railwaymen wrote.
And they clarified that the train handling the train No. 145 from Warszawa Śródmieście WKD (19:20) – Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska (20:15) was involved in the collision at the crossing.
At 9 p.m. WKD informed that train traffic from Podkowa Leśna Główna station was resumed and is now running in both directions.
