On Thursday morning, anti-terrorists forced the gate to the property of Rafał D., former deputy head of the Central Police Investigation Bureau. He was detained on the order of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Bialystok and heard the charges, and in the evening of the same day he left the prosecutor’s office freely, the editors of tvn24.pl found out.
The arrest of Rafał D., former deputy commander of the Central Police Investigation Bureau, was the first to be reported by the journalists of Radio Zet. “He is to be charged with a clerical offence. It is a case from 2016,” the station’s reporters reported on Thursday. According to tvn24.pl, the detention was ordered by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Białystok.

– At six in the morning counter-terrorists with long guns forced the gate. Former vice-commandant CBSP was transported to the prosecutor’s office in Warsaw, where the prosecutor conducting the case conducted activities with him – two independent sources in the police and in the prosecutor’s office provided us with information.
In the evening of the same day, Rafał D. regained his freedom. According to unofficial information, he was charged under Article 266 paragraph 2 of the Penal Code.
A public official who discloses to an unauthorized person classified information classified as “restricted” or “confidential” or information that he obtained in connection with the performance of official duties, and the disclosure of which may harm a legally protected interest, shall be subject to the penalty of deprivation of liberty for up to 3 years
The editors of tvn24.pl contacted the defender of Rafał D., but he refused to comment on the matter. Also, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Białystok, until the publication of the article, did not answer the questions sent regarding the detention of the former deputy head of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
