Former general director of the State Forests with allegations

Former general director of the State Forests Józef K. heard allegations. It is a matter of causing damage to the property of the Treasury. K. did not confess to the alleged deeds.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Krakow informed in a statement that in connection with the establishment of the “team to examine the economy, legality and legitimacy of actions at the State Forest Forests State Forests, proceedings are conducted regarding the exceeding of rights by the General Director of the State Director of the State Forest Farm State Forests and the cause of great size property damage.”

As transferred to “Józef Jan K., the acting director was charged with the abuse of his rights and failure to fulfill his obligations, which he brought the direct danger of causing property damage in great size, i.e. in an amount not less than PLN 2,302,200.00”.

Józef K. did not confess to the alleged acts

According to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Krakow, “the suspect approved the list of real estate for sale pursuant to Article 40a of the Act on forests in a manner inconsistent with the legal norm and the criteria for determining the usefulness of real estate and, contrary to the negative opinion issued by the task team for the Commission to assess the legitimacy of the sale of real estate.”

“He also ordered the issue of the State Forests Information Bulletin supplement, which conditioned further activities regarding the sale of real estate owned by the State Treasury. The suspect acted to achieve financial benefits in the amount of not less than PLN 631,170.30 (in words: six hundred and twenty one thousand one hundred and seventy zlotys 30/100) for a fixed third party” – read in the message.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Krakow reported that K. who was questioned as a suspect, “did not admit the alleged acts and refused to explain.”
