Not so long ago, it seemed that Blaz Kramer would stay at Legia Warsaw and fulfill his contract, which expired next summer. The Slovenian striker was close to leaving the club twice: first, he had an offer from the Turkish Konyaspor and even went to sign a contract, but later he unexpectedly returned to Warsaw. Then Slovan Bratislava was interested in him, but the 28-year-old did not end up there either. It worked on the third attempt and Kramer officially left Legia, moving to Konyaspor last week.
Blaz Kramer revealed the inside story of talks with Slovan Bratislava
And why did the topic of Kramer's move to Slovan Bratislava fall through? After all, both clubs had already agreed on a transfer and the Slovenian was close to fulfilling his dream of playing for a club that plays in the Champions League.
– That's what I said and it's true. Besides, it's not just my dream, but that of every coach and player. However, in my case, not at any cost. The way I was treated by Slovan officials made me decide not to make this transfer – Kramer said in an interview with the portal goal.pl.
In the interview, Kramer was asked what he understood by this treatment. – Their approach to me. It was very arrogant. I didn't feel good being treated like that. Maybe they think that since they qualified for the Champions League, everyone will come to them. Well, no. OK, some will be tempted, but with such an approach I wasn't going to sign a contract. I preferred to stay at Legia – he stated.
He eventually went to the Turkish Konyaspor. How much did Legia earn on Kramer's transfer? According to media reports, the Turks were to pay one million euros with bonuses, and the player himself was to earn around 650 thousand euros net per year, which is more than twice as much as in Warsaw.
Blaz Kramer played 57 matches for Legia Warsaw, scoring 17 goals and notching five assists. With the Warsaw club he won the Polish Cup and Super Cup.
