LONDON — 1000’s of individuals together with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson gathered in London on Sunday for a march in opposition to antisemitism, a day after massive crowds turned out for a pro-Palestinian rally.

Johnson was joined by the U.Okay.’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and different senior authorities officers on the march to specific solidarity with the Jewish group. Organizers billed it as the biggest gathering in opposition to antisemitism in London for many years.

Marchers waved Israeli and the U.Okay.’s Union flags and held placards studying “By no means Once more Is Now” and “Zero Tolerance for Antisemites.”

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, the previous chief of the far-right English Defence League, was detained by police on the march. Yaxley-Lennon, extra broadly identified by his alias Tommy Robinson, was amongst crowds of counter-protesters who clashed with police throughout an Armistice Day march in London.
