Police officers from Olsztyn took care of two terrified and soaked puppies that ran onto the S7 expressway. Quadrupeds posed a threat not only to themselves, but also to other road users.

As the staff sergeant Karolina Hrynkiewicz told us, on Thursday at around At 9:50 am policemen from Olsztyn were going to the town of Napierki. On the S7 expressway, near Frąknów, they noticed two little dogs entering the road.

However, the frightened puppies at the sight of the policemen fled to the ditch, and then crossed the grate to the water-drainage flow. As a result, the animals hardly drowned.

– The officers immediately opened the security grille and entered the flow, pulling the dogs outside – says the policewoman. The puppies were warmed up with a blanket and then transferred to the “Podaj pawę” Homeless Dog Shelter in Tatry near Nidzica.

There they will wait for people who want to adopt them.
