French film legend Alain Delon's dog will not be put down, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation reported on social media, citing the actor's family. The post is a response to protests from animal rights activists. Delon wanted his shepherd to be put down and buried by his side.
Alain Delon announced in 2018 that he wanted his dog, Loubo, to be buried with him. “He's my dog in the fall of his life. A Belgian shepherd that I love like a child,” the actor told the magazine “Paris Match.” “I'll ask the vet to let us go together. He'll give him an injection so that he dies in my arms. I'd rather have that than know that he would die on my grave, suffering so much,” the French cinema legend added.
