On Sunday, around 1:30 p.m., an avalanche occurred at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. The incident occurred in the Sancy massif in the Puy-de-Dome department in central France. Four people were killed and three people were slightly injured, local media reported.

As reported, the avalanche occurred over the Mont-Dore ski resort in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park. According to the Ski Info website, there was heavy snowfall in this area on Sunday, and the snow depth reached 50 centimeters.
