The heat in France is very bothersome. Temperatures reach 10-12 degrees Celsius above seasonal norms. On Monday, there were places where thermometers showed as high as 38 degrees Celsius. It was just as hot on Tuesday.
A few days ago, masses of hot air began to reach France. In the south-west of France on Monday afternoon, the temperature was 37-38 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday was also supposed to bring a hot aura. The French meteorological agency Meteo France predicted that in the west of the country, including in La Roche-sur-Yon, thermometers would show up to 34 degrees C. In Nantes in the northwest of France and in Poitiers in the southeast, the temperature was supposed to hover around the highest levels recorded in these cities in September.
As predicted, the greatest heat was in the western regions of the country. According to data from wetteronline.de, the highest temperature was recorded around 17.30 near the town of Biganos. Thermometers showed 37 degrees Celsius there. It was also hot in the country’s capital – in the warmest moment of the day, the inhabitants of Paris saw about 28-30 degrees Celsius on thermometers.

Thunderstorms are expected at the end of the week. Meteo France warns of the expected very heavy rainfall, among others in Languedoc, already at night from Wednesday to Thursday.
