The president of the safari park, Christelle Bercheny, announced at a press conference that the woman had entered an “American reserve” where, among others, animals live. wolves, coyotes, bears and bison. She also stated that park customers have “all the information” regarding safety rules in this area. According to French media, the area where the 36-year-old was staying is fenced off with ditches and an electric fence.

A prosecutor's investigation and an internal investigation have been initiated into the accident.
