He was detained when he left the building. He had an envelope with money, which the woman manipulated by the fraudster. She was convinced that she was involved in a police action. “Receipt” was temporarily arrested, he faces eight years in prison.

Policemen of the Criminal Department from the Warsaw Headquarters determined that in Praga Południe at one of the agreed addresses a man is to appear, most likely acting on the behalf of people extorting money using the “policeman” method.

– On the spot, they noticed a nervously behaving man who entered the building through the goal. After a short time he left and was detained. Policemen found an envelope with money with him. The man admitted that he received the money from one of the residents of the building – informs Edyta Adamus from the capital's police.

Cash envelope

The policemen reached the victim immediately. She informed that a person who claimed to be a police officer contacted her. She did it as recommended, i.e. packed over PLN 10,000 into an envelope and gave it to a person who had just knocked on the door of her apartment. She only learned from real police officers about the fact that the victim of fraudsters fell.

The case was referred to policemen from the District Headquarters in Praga Południe.

Arrest

In conducted, under the supervision of the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor's Office, the 62-year-old, who came from Łódź, heard the accusation of fraud, for which he faces up to eight years imprisonment. The court decided to arrest him for three months.
