Robert N., the pseudonym Frog, has been arrested by the London police, RMF FM reported on Wednesday. The man was prosecuted by an arrest warrant in connection with the conviction for driving a car despite a court ban. For this he was sentenced to a year and a half in prison.
As RMF FM established, “Frog” was detained in the British capital on Wednesday at 6:30. This information was confirmed in an interview with the Polish Press Agency by a spokesman for the Police Headquarters. – The hiding place was tracked by Polish policemen, who then asked the British services to arrest the wanted – said inspector Mariusz Ciarka.
– The procedure related to the transfer of the wanted party to the Polish side will probably begin in the near future – added a spokesman for KGP.
As PAP found out, “Frog” was completely surprised by the detention.
The arrest warrant was issued in connection with the judgment of January 28, 2020. Then the court found “Frog” “guilty of driving a passenger vehicle on a public road on September 19, 2018 in Warsaw despite a driving ban imposed by judgments”. The court sentenced him to one and a half years in prison. The man was also banned from driving for eight years. The defender of the convicted person appealed against this judgment, but the District Court in Warsaw upheld the decision of the lower court.
